About Us

We are a spiritual knightly order, dedicated to serving the sick, the poor, and the weak.

Johanniter Knights follow the two-fold calling of Jesus to love: “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and thy neighbor as thyself.”

The Johanniter Order has its foundation in the confession to Jesus Christ. This is the basis of its existence.

Our spiritual outlook and service to “the least of these” are the basis of everything we do.

Our members have committed themselves to the double mandate of witnessing the faith and assisting the ill and those in want. Because the Johanniter Knights have consistently embraced this spiritual mandate, the Order has remained an inspirational force in society.

Every Johanniter Knight has committed himself to the double mandate of witnessing the faith and assisting the ill and those in want.

We are reminded of this calling by the Order’s insignia, the eight-pointed cross, which is a symbol of the Eight Beatitudes in Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount.

In the Johanniter Order, traditions that have stood the test of time are adjusted as necessary to bring them into line with modern times. As a spiritual knightly order staying true to its core values, the Order will continue to radiate strength and inspiration.
